South Spencer High School
The Rebels opened up Sectional Play against the Wood Memorial Trojans. With a tie earlier in the season against the Trojans the Rebels came in to the match wanting to prove something. They were able to do just that. The Trojans were the first ones on the board after a cross came in and was hit home by an unmarked player in the box. Just before the half Michael Donoho would find Justin DeFur on a through ball to make the scores 1-1 at the half. 58 minutes into the game the Rebels would take the lead after Justin DeFur served up a ball that would find the right hip of Freshman Michale Donoho. The goal would be just enough for the Rebels as they won 2-1. Cole Dawson only faced 4 shots turning away 3 of them. The win moved the Rebels to 6-8-2 on the season and 3-4 in the PAC. The Rebels now advance to ththe Semi-Final round of the Sectionals were they will face the host school Northeast Dubois Jeeps. The Rebels lost earlier in the year to the Jeeps 3-1. Game time is set for 5:30 cst.
