South Spencer High School – The Athletic Department announced today that Aaron Thompson has officially stepped down from his position as head coach of the boys varsity basketball program. Thompson has guided the team for the past three seasons, concluding his tenure with an overall record of 23-49. Throughout his time at the helm, Coach Thompson has been a dedicated presence on the sidelines, focusing on the character development of his student-athletes and navigating the team through highly competitive schedules. "We want to thank Coach Thompson for his hard work, time, and commitment to our basketball program over the last three years," said Athletic Director Mr. Kuester. "We appreciate the positive impact he has had on our student-athletes and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors." The search for the next head boys basketball coach for South Spencer will begin immediately.
