Ruthee Clark’s Clutch Hitting Propels South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels To Victory Over Washington Varsity Hatchets By GameChanger Media Ruthee Clark drove in five runs on one hit to lead South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels past Washington Varsity Hatchets 11-5 on Tuesday. Clark hit a grand slam to center field in the sixth inning, scoring four runs, and walked in the first inning, scoring one. South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels got on the board in the first inning after Clark drew a walk, scoring one run. Sydney Sandullo singled to center field, which helped Washington Varsity Hatchets tie the game at one in the top of the second. In the top of the third, Washington Varsity Hatchets broke up the tie when Braleigh Armes doubled, scoring one run. Then a hit by a pitch followed to extend the lead to 3-1. In the bottom of the fourth inning, South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels went back into the lead after Kali Wink doubled, Abby Raaf tripled to right field, and Raaf scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth on a grand slam to center field by Clark. Alexis Cecil pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels. The reliever allowed four hits and two runs while, striking out none and walking one. Kaylee Schmitt led things off in the circle for South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels. The pitcher gave up three hits and three runs (two earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out three and walking one. Katie Reed started the game for Washington Varsity Hatchets. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and 11 runs (seven earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking three. Kinley Skinner and Alexis Harris each collected two hits for South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels. Harris stole two bases. South Spencer Varsity Lady Rebels stole six bases in the game.
