The boys soccer team came out looking to avenge the 1 goal loss from last season against a tough Pike Central team. It didn’t take long as Michael Donoho Crossed in a ball to Wade Harris who volleyed it in just outside the six yard box. The Rebels and Chargers would battle the rest of the half with the score line remains 1-0 Rebels.
The 2nd half Pike Central came out strong controlling possession however the Rebel defense was able hold the chargers scoreless. Midway through the 2nd half Wade Harris hit a corner kick into the six yard box finding the head of Charlie Howell seeing the score move to 2-0. With roughly 10 minutes left to play Vincent Mayfield followed up a rebound and slotted the ball just beyond the keepers reach to put the game away. The Chargers were able to draw one goal back scoring in the final 3 minutes making the final score Rebels 3 Chargers 1.
The Rebels record now sits at 4-2 (3-2 PAC)
