South Spencer Rebels Varsity Falls To Castle
South Spencer Rebels Varsity fired up the offense in the second inning, when Will Stewart doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
Castle pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored two runs for Castle.
Conner Lockyear led things off on the hill for Castle. He lasted four and a third innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out six.
Darian Johnson got the start for South Spencer Rebels Varsity. He allowed seven hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out two. Ryan Stuteville threw one inning out of the bullpen.
Dalton Bartlett, Stewart, Kobe Bartlett, Johnson, and Manning Webb each collected one hit to lead South Spencer Rebels Varsity.
Castle racked up seven hits. Griffin Scaggs and Cale Mattingly each managed multiple hits for Castle. Castle didn’t commit a single error in the field. Noah Gilbert had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
