South Spencer Rebels Varsity Loses Lead Early In Defeat
South Spencer Rebels Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-1 loss to North Posey on Monday. North Posey took the lead on a single in the first inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. North Posey pitchers struck out 12, while South Spencer Rebels Varsity sat down four.
North Posey got things moving in the first inning, when Shane Harris singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Harris was the winning pitcher for North Posey. He surrendered one run on three hits over seven innings, striking out 12.
Manning Webb took the loss for South Spencer Rebels Varsity. He surrendered three runs on six hits over six innings, striking out four and walking zero.
Darian Johnson, Will Stewart, and Cole Dawson each collected one hit to lead South Spencer Rebels Varsity.
Camden Bender went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead North Posey in hits. North Posey was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jaydyn Wehmer made the most plays with 13.
