South Spencer Rebels Varsity Falls To Tecumseh After Sixth Inning Score
South Spencer Rebels Varsity lost the lead late in a 5-3 defeat to Tecumseh on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Tecumseh batting in the bottom of the sixth when W Brucken doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
South Spencer Rebels Varsity got things moving in the first inning, when Jacob Lindsey doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Tecumseh tied things up at three when Manning Webb induced Flowers to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
After South Spencer Rebels Varsity scored one run in the top of the second, Tecumseh answered with one of their own. Tecumseh then answered when an error scored one run for Tecumseh.
Beard got the win for Tecumseh. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out nine and walking zero.
Webb took the loss for South Spencer Rebels Varsity. He surrendered four runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out eight.
Jagelewski started the game for Tecumseh. He allowed two hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two.
Dalton Bartlett went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead South Spencer Rebels Varsity in hits.
Tecumseh saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. Brucken and Beard each racked up multiple hits for Tecumseh.
