The Rebels fell at home on Friday night to Princeton, 58-52. The Rebels started out slow as they trailed 6-0 to start the game. However, Dylan Kelly hit four 3-pt. FG’s in the first half to get the Rebels back in it and they took a five point lead into halftime. However, a strong 3rd qtr. performance from the Tigers brought them back into the game as the game was tied 41-41 at the end of the 3rd qtr. The Rebels struggled to slow down the Tigers in the 4th qtr. and failed to score in clutch situations, which led to them falling 58-52 at the hands of Princeton.
The Rebels were led in scoring by Dylan Kelly with 20 pts. Kipper Johnson added 14 pts. and Michael Donoho had 6 pts. The Rebels hit twelve 3-pt. FG’s on the night. With the loss, the Rebels fell to 6-13 on the season.
The Rebels will return to action tonight (Feb. 10th) at home against conference and sectional foe, Forest Park. The JV will tip at 5:30 p.m. CST. followed by the varsity at 7:00 p.m. CST.
