Lady Rebels Overcomes North Posey In Face Of Early 4-Run Inning
North Posey scored four runs in the third inning, but Lady Rebels still won 14-4 on Friday. North Posey offense in the inning was led by Megan Brenton, Anne Stegall, and Evelyn Mauer, all driving in runs in the frame.
Lady Rebels got things started in the first inning. Averi Myers singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Lady Rebels scored four runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by Lady Rebels was led by Myers, Cassidy Cook, and Emilee Schulte, who all drove in runs.
Samantha Helms was the winning pitcher for Lady Rebels. She allowed six hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out 13.
Brenton took the loss for North Posey. She allowed ten hits and 11 runs over five and a third innings, striking out six.
Lady Rebels tallied 16 hits. Myers, Helms, Cook, AJ Middleton, Ashton Rasor, and Schulte all collected multiple hits for Lady Rebels. Schulte, Rasor, Middleton, Cook, Helms, and Myers each collected two hits to lead Lady Rebels.
North Posey collected six hits. Stegall and Brenton each collected multiple hits for North Posey.
